Hey, I'm Sascha!

My name is Sascha Kattelmann. I hold a Master of Science in Mathematics and bring over a decade of professional experience in software development. Today, my focus is product security for embedded systems.

My background spans multiple software domains, including automotive, embedded systems, and mobile development. This breadth helps me bridge product goals, engineering constraints, and long-term maintainability in security-critical systems.

As an external embedded security engineer, I help companies translate security requirements into concrete technical architecture and implementation. This includes secure boot, device identity, key management, secure update mechanisms, provisioning, platform and firmware protection, and traceable technical documentation.

My work is especially useful when product teams already know that CRA, MDR, customer requirements, or protection against industrial espionage matter, but do not yet have a clear technical path. I help make those requirements tangible, support architecture decisions, and implement the critical building blocks.
